Better start today

Well, today is certainly off to a better start than yesterday was… To start with, I didn’t oversleep by 3 hours.
Yeah, that’s right, 3 hours. Which was long enough that I gradually wakened from sleep, smiled at the inherent goodness of the world, and then rolled over and saw my clock: 11:15. “Hmm,” my sleep addled brained started to think, “didn’t I have a class at 11?” D’oh. It actually turned out okay, though.

Today, in contrast, I actually beat my alarm clock and got ready with enough time to spare that now I’m on campus writing a post before going in to my first day in the Sagermann lab.

Exciting stuff, eh?

My big hope is that this weekend I’ll be able to get some people together to play Settlers of Catan. Woo!

I really don’t have anything insightful to say, but I just wanted to comment on the linky goodness of your post (especially the “inherent goodness” that is memepool) 🙂

Oh, and I’m glad you’re finally getting enough sleep (and not forcing your body to get up before it’s ready)!
