Just wanted to share that my first first-author paper is now online! In the journal Stem Cells and Development, here’s my paper on “Roles of Integrins in Human Induced Pluripotent Stem Cell Growth on Matrigel and Vitronectin.”
Last weekend (well, Monday, actually), I was at the Denver Zoo celebrating my birthday, and the animals sure put on a show for us!
I’m not a huge photography fan (I’d usually rather live in the world than take pictures of it), but I’m trying to enjoy my digital camera AND update my website more regularly, so enjoy cute and disgusting pictures of animals strutting their stuff. There may even be *gasp* stories attached.
A Hyena taking a relaxing bath
A baby Hippo and her huge mother
A Grizzly Bear that I (apparently) resemble
A Mangarey that just finished masturbating… Yup, exciting days at the zoo.
Teisha with the dumb Flamingos she used to chaperone
The little capebara enjoys his food
Some exotic type fish from tropical discovery
A proud father Komodo Dragon, ready to eat this little girl
Me posing with my favorite animal– the Malaysian Tapir
My lovable parents (the squintiness is from making them look into the sun around noon on a 90 degree day)

Just read a fascinating (if lengthy) essay on disruptive technology and the future of scientific publishing. Well worth the read!
Just wanted to share Mint.com’s Visual Guide to Deflation, which is quite explanatory.
Hey all Paradoxdruid readers! I recently started up a blog on stem cells that I’d love you all to take a look at: http://www.allthingsstemcell.com/
I participated in another Barely literate book review podcast, this time on Nicholson Baker’s “The Fermata”. Give it a listen!
Obama has outlined a strategy for America, in great depth. Read all about Change.gov!
Okay, I’ll admit that it’s entirely possible that I am the last person to learn about this website*, but it’s really addictive.Â
