Renaissance/Pirate Faire Photos

Recently, some friends and I journied up to Ojai, on the shores of Lake Casitas, to attend the Ojai Renaissance and Pirate Faire. It was a lot of fun, and *ahem* Thar be many a picture ta share, sea-dogs! Make yer way to the rest of this here post and feast yer bleeding eyes on um!
Quick suggestion: If the pop-up image is too large, in Firefox right click the image and select “View Image”. That should make it smaller.
The scene at the entrance to the Ren Faire when we arrived:
Scott enjoys his pirate rum:
The Queen’s Retinue prepares to enter:
Li is blind in her third eye:
A typical shop at the Ren Faire:
This Ren Faire had a lot of “camps”, private party areas that were very well decorated and decked-out:
Some of these camps acted out little scenes, like this “girl in stocks” scene (they were shouting hilarious dialogue at passer’s-by):
Scott and Steve took to the battle re-enactment with gusto:
Scott tries dual-wielding his swords while Steve hops on one leg (battle wound):

Good time had by all!

Hi! Guess who’s seeing the Blue Man Group for free as an usher next Wednesday?

I’m… not sure what that has to do with the photos, but congrats! I’ve seen the Blue Man Group 3 times now (twice the Vegas show, once the Complex rock tour), and it’s been a mind blowing experience each time. Hope you have a wonderful time!

You don’t grasp the deep and meaningful connection between the photos and BMG? It’s there. Think about it.
Or maybe I couldn’t figure out how else to tell you.. :sniffles:
