Just wanted to share that my first first-author paper is now online! In the journal Stem Cells and Development, here’s my paper on “Roles of Integrins in Human Induced Pluripotent Stem Cell Growth on Matrigel and Vitronectin.”
Since Fleepster doesn’t show up very often I thought I’d post this. When I was in New York visiting there was a huge pillow fight in the middle of Union Square, which we took part in. To see some of the insanity there’s pictures and video here.
Also we found this picture where you can see Fleepster pretty well in the background, I think my coat and the back of my head can also be seen. By the way the kid in that picture was insane, attacking people with a pillow that was about as big as he was.
Wow! That looks like so much fun! Either that, or the source of a lot of well-meaning bruises. 😉
See, it’s things like this that are why I need to live in a big city.
Thanks for posting, mcmillan!
Paradoxdruid - February 23rd, 2006 at 8:41 pmI do show up here often! Or, perhaps not. The pillowfight was fun. My pictures from it are mostly available through my facebook page.
You might be able to see some here:

But snapfish is sort of greedy about pictures, so you might not be able to see them.
Having Andy visit was fantastic. Who else would make me get up and wander around New York in the freezing cold?

Fleepy - February 27th, 2006 at 4:04 pmIt was good hanging out for the weekend, who else would take me to a pillow fight in New York City. And it wasn’t that cold, well maybe on Saturday when we did most of our wandering. But the weather was decent the rest of the time I was there.
mcmillan - February 28th, 2006 at 8:24 pmOkay, here’s my new flickr (ooo) site, with pictures of Andy and pillowfighting. And other stuff.

Just read a fascinating (if lengthy) essay on disruptive technology and the future of scientific publishing. Well worth the read!
Just wanted to share Mint.com’s Visual Guide to Deflation, which is quite explanatory.
