Birthday Boy

As many of you clearly know, today’s Andrew’s 25th Birthday! So… !!!

So, if you click here you can see other people commenting on how it’s his birthday (at the bottom).. but on a different thread 🙂 I thought I’d start an independent post. For the curious, Andrew’s mostly going to celebrate next week when his parents visit, especially since he’ll probably be done writing his 20-page Candidacy Exam by then. However, tonight we’ll be doing some role-playing (almost as good as Water World?), eating cake and cupcakes with friends, and he’ll be unwrapping some presents. He’s also wearing a “Birthday Boy” pin (home-made) to the class he’s teaching to get some special harassment 🙂 Make sure to harass him too if you’d like… I know he really likes the attention…

For the record– you guys rock. I had a wonderful birthday, full of messages from friends I’ve been out of touch with for a while, so much chocolate, and much embarassment from (independently) getting sung “happy birthday” at by my girlfriend, my friends, and my entire class that I’m teaching.

Add to that thoughtful gifts, almost finishing up my big scary exam, and getting told by the professor I’m teaching this class with that I should pursue a teaching grant because I’m one of the best teachers he’s worked with…. yeah, good day had.

I may be closer to 30 than 20, but that just means I’m a day closer to fulfilling my goals. *cackle* Including world domination.

Your goal is to turn 30? healthy I suppose…. 😉

Glad to hear you had a good birthday! I wish I could have been there to celebrate with you.

(and you should definitely teach!)

yes, those intent on world domination should definitely focus on those teaching skills!
kidding aside, very happy birthday to a boy who certainly deserves it all!

Wow, I seemed to check your page at the right time. Happy Birthday Andrew, 25 and still ticking…10 days and I share your fate of closer to 30.
