Just wanted to share that my first first-author paper is now online! In the journal Stem Cells and Development, here’s my paper on “Roles of Integrins in Human Induced Pluripotent Stem Cell Growth on Matrigel and Vitronectin.”
Howdy!
I was supposed to go on a tour of the biggest gold repository in the country, and probably in the world, but because of the terrorist threats (or what ever), tours are cancelled until further notice.
Dang! How am I supposed to borrow one of those $125K gold bricks?
“Borrow” indeed. 😛
That’s too bad, Fleep.
Though I must admit- I toured the Colorado Mint, and while not devoid of neatness, it wasn’t that cool. A Treasury, where there’s not even big machines thumping new money out, might not have been that bad to miss.
Or maybe I’m rationalizing, since I missed the Uffizi Gallery in Florence, Italy. The most famous gallery in Florence. Ah, strikes.

Just read a fascinating (if lengthy) essay on disruptive technology and the future of scientific publishing. Well worth the read!
Just wanted to share Mint.com’s Visual Guide to Deflation, which is quite explanatory.

Okay, I’ll admit that it’s entirely possible that I am the last person to learn about this website*, but it’s really addictive.ÂÂ
