UA game on PD’s forums

Hey all, I’d like to run a UA game.

And since everybody’s pretty spread out, PD’s forums offer the best… um… forum for that.  Anybody who’d like to play?

Count me in, like we have discussed. 😀

Um . . . I might be interested, depending on the time committment. And depending on how it would work. I feel like my words often get stepped on in in-person games. How would you combat that? And would we do it on the forum? Or in an AIM chatroom of some sort?

It would take place on the forums. You’d benefit from nobody being able to interrupt or talk over you, ’cause, you know, you can’t do that on a board.

I would be down with that

“You’d benefit from nobody being able to interrupt or talk over you, ’cause, you know, you can’t do that on a boards”

…For the sake of being a brat, I have to mention that *technically*, I could log on as admin, erase half of your post, and start mine, effectively “talking over” you. Not that I would, mind. Just that it is possible.

Technology- improving our lives everyday. 😉

Well PD you might do that at least once just because you can.

Gilvoro - September 5th, 2004 at 7:33 pm

Okay. That sounds reasonable . . . if you want to play, though, you might tell me what sort of character to design as soon as possible. As both Druid and Gilvoro know, I take my sweet time with it. And, no, Gilvoro doesn’t get the benefit of me being faster even though we live together and are engaged. I just take forever with character creation . . .

Your characters will be comfortable with knowledge of the depth of the UA-niverse. You’ll be associating with guys like the King of Philadelphia, and even a bit higher, without it being too unusual. Druid’s helping me GM, and can probably estimate points for distribution and what not better than me (dammit where’s my book? Hasn’t been delivered yet). Other than that, your character shouldn’t be unreasonably used as a messenger between bigger fish in the sea. We can work out the details after you get a general idea.

Surrrrre, anything for you, Meg.

Everyone: Points are 250 and 75 (thank you, PD)

Can I be an Avatar? ::tries to look very innocent:: I really, really like them. More than adepts, even.

Just a reminder, as this post stinks towards the bottom of the page…

The forum can be accessed by http://forum.paradoxdruid.com

I really should install updated software for it, but I haven’t found just the right package yet.

Paradoxdruid - September 9th, 2004 at 12:19 pm

No phpBB for you?

Owen - September 9th, 2004 at 2:44 pm

phpBB requires a mySQL or postSQL database on the server, which would cost me an additional $10 a month in hosting fees. :-/

It’s hard to find good software that doesn’t require mySQL DB.. I’m lucky I found pivot for my weblog.

That’s damn poopie.

The current system looks like it’d work fine for my purposes.

Also, everybody, Andrew should have a .html character sheet to put up on his website. If you’d please download it, fill it out, and send it my way, I’d be much appreciative. If you have questions, feel free to ask me.

Owen - September 11th, 2004 at 8:37 pm

I’m supposed to put that up? Alright, good to know.

Paradoxdruid - September 11th, 2004 at 8:48 pm

Oh, yeah, thought I mentioned that.
