Website Suggestions

I was just talking to mallorn, and she mentioned that she wished that my website displayed the time of the last comment, so you could tell if you’ve read it or not without checking every post… I’m working on enabling that right now. So while I’m at that (eta: 2 days), are there any other features or things people would like on the website?

I’d like to be able to see who posted the links on the left side of the site, rather than just trying to guess. Although, I think I finally figured out who posted about the lizard cam . . . 😉

In the comments window, the OP author doesn’t display.

That’s an easy change, too- consider it added to my To-Do list.

Alright:
* names added to linkdump posts (check)
* poster name added to popup box, next to title (check)
* AIM screenname (asked on pivot forum.. awaiting response)
* time of last comments (displayed in Last Comments box.. working on displaying in main area)

Anything else?

Would it be possibly to post more contact info on people who write here, such as AIM/Yahoo!/MSN screennames? Just a thought…

I don’t know if its just me but your fields here to enter in all your fancy email, website stuff need a little work. Looks like your missing a few lines of script.

On a more productive idea, and one that could eat up your remaining time before school starts you could post a how to guide on posting. Things like making links, posting picture etc.

I want a flash animation of me in a really pretty dress looking incredibly wise to swoop onto the screen anytime someone reads a post that I’ve written. And as they scroll through the post i want little bubbles to pop up saying things like “Wow!” and “Mallorn must be Brilliant!” with Zim sound effects.

Fixed, gilvoro. I had a section of code commented out, and in a official standards compliant browser (Netscape, Firefox, Safari), it looks fine. But Internet Explorer is a bastard, and wasn’t rendering it correctly. All part of the goal of getting AIM ScreenName and other info to be addable.
