Now that I’ve devoured all of them, I gotta say- I think they’re cute, but kind of… unenthused, or flat. Kind of like how Ozy and Millie fell in the end.

Maybe D.C. Simpson has just become too… ultra-mellow? emotionalless? dry? for me to find his works that humorous anymore… I feel like he’s going through the motions, but I don’t feel any passion behind it.
